Ideal 55 Slider Pepsi Machine for sale: With the recent retro/throwback advertising campaigns, (re-introducing “Real Sugar” in soda by Coke, Pepsi and Dr Pepper, among others), glass bottle soda has become very popular once again. Which in turn has made Vintage Pepsi machines in demand. The Ideal 55 Slider Pepsi Machine is a top vending machine that originally held 55 bottles of any size bottle from the small 8oz up to a 12 oz long neck

This Ideal Pepsi Slider soda machine arrived in solid shape but will require a Full Restoration

 

Open Cooler, any size bottles

For the Full Restoration, we will replace the top lid and scuff plate with new stainless steel, a new chrome handle, and all new rubber gaskets. Then chrome the rear lid supports

Inside the top lid after restoration shows a new lid, gaskets and a nice open area that you can vend anything from. In this case, we plug the original coin mechanism holes. Most clients request the original “Slider” rack be removed for this model, to allow for more space. Providing a nice, clean open area to cool any size bottle, cans or even food if you wish

After our Full Restoration, it will look better than new. The Ideal 55 Slider Pepsi Machine can hold many cases. Cold beverages, ready to serve, go on top of the shelf. Warmer beverages go below, to be Pre-Cooled. We also replace the side loading door gasket and black breaker strips

Restoration Process

 

We completely dis-assemble all soda machine cabinets, and sand blast to bare metal, perform bodywork and paint, fabricate and install a new cabinet bottom

 

We install new insulation, the restored liner, all new gaskets and breaker strips

We then install a new commercial grade compressor, pictured above. Then replace the fan motor, thermostat and all wiring

Here is a closer look at the Ideal Pepsi Slider in its present condition

This is the earlier and more rare “Double Dot” version. This Pepsi Slider was made in 1953. We will sand blast the cabinet, paint and install new Pepsi double dot lettering

Inside the top lid of this Pepsi Slider shows a large open area to service any type of items, Ice Cold. There is also an identical sized cooling area under this to pre-cool items accessible through the side loading door. We will remove the coin mechanism and shaft, so it is not sticking out on the left side
