Glasco GBV50 Slider Coca Cola Machine For Sale
Glasco GBV50 Slider Coke Machine for sale: With the recent retro/throwback advertising campaigns, (re-introducing “Real Sugar” in soda by Coke, Pepsi and Dr Pepper, among others), glass bottle soda has become very popular once again. Which in turn has made Vintage Coke machines in demand. The Glasco GBV50 Slider Coca Cola Machine is a top vending machine that originally held 50 bottles of any size bottle from the small 8oz up to a 12 oz long neck
Inside the top lid shows the slider rack. The bottles would rest on their necks in each slot. Then the customer would grab their selection and “Slide” it over to the coin release to the left
This Glasco GBV50 Slider soda machine arrived in solid shape. We can Fully Restore it as Coca Cola or leave it as is and perform a Partial Restoration. Tell us which option you like
If you choose the Full Restoration, we will replace the top lid and scuff plate with new stainless steel, a new chrome handle, and all new rubber gaskets. Then chrome the rear lid supports
And inside the top lid, we will replace the top lid decal. We can restore this machine back to original coin operation with the slider rack. Or we can remove the coin operation and vending rack, leaving a nice open area that you can vend anything from. In this case, we plug the original coin mechanism holes. Most clients request the original “Slider” rack be removed for this model, to allow for more space. Providing a nice, clean open area to cool any size bottle, cans or even food if you wish
Inside view of the right side loading door on the Glasco GBV50 Slider Coca Cola Machine. This side door originally gave access to loading the bottle “Slider” rack, and the bottle Pre-Cool area below. After our Full Restoration, it will look better than new. The Glasco GBV50 Slider Coca Cola Machine can hold many cases. Cold beverages, ready to serve, go on top of the shelf. Warmer beverages go below, to be Pre-Cooled. We also replace the side loading door gasket and black breaker strips
Restoration Process
We completely dis-assemble all soda machine cabinets, and sand blast to bare metal, perform bodywork and paint, fabricate and install a new cabinet bottom
We install new insulation, the restored liner, all new gaskets and breaker strips
We then install a new commercial grade compressor, pictured above. Then replace the fan motor, thermostat and all wiring
This is what our Glasco GBV50 Slider Coca Cola Machine looks like presently. A nice clean Coke slider with original paint with some slight rust on the lower left hand base
Here are more photos of the Glasco GBV50 Slider in its present condition

Left side of the 1960 Coke Slider showing a metal plate where the original coin mechanism was mounted. We can remove this metal plate and install a plastic hole plug for a cleaner look
The top lid is still in pretty nice original shape. We will make a new shelf for the inside. There is another identical sized cooling area below this shelf to pre-cool items accessible from the side loading door
For the Partial Restoration option, we will only clean the machine, inside and out. Then replace all gaskets, cooling system, wiring, fan motor, thermostat and power cord
